The following items must be identified with labels or signage:
Safety Equipment
- Emergency shower
- Eye wash station
- First aid supplies
- Fire extinguishers
- Fire blankets
- Spill supplies
Broken equipment that is not operational must be taken out of service and labeled to prevent further use by laboratory personnel. Notify the Safety Officer immediately of broken or malfunctioning safety equipment (i.e., chemical fume hoods, emergency shower, etc.)
